Shaw Power (now CB&I) awarded Tindall the contract for Dominion Virginia City Hybrid Energy Center due to our ability to deliver superior products under tight deadlines. Tindall proved their capabilities by manufacturing and delivering over 40 precast concrete sump vaults and electrical manholes on a strict schedule — all defect free.

The Power of Tindall.

Tindall utilized electrical vaults, junction boxes, modular ash silo vaults, and sump vaults for this project. But, we didn’t stop there. Tindall also resolved a challenge for Shaw Power by offering an engineered precast transformer firewall system with panels and columns. This system allowed for faster installation, which accelerated the schedule, and did not interfere with the surrounding structures.

The success of this project with Shaw Power lead to a series of other firewall projects for other power plants. Tindall and Shaw Power successfully worked together to deliver the same quality products and flawless execution for these constructions.
